Groceries can be purchased at an IGA just one block away on foot.  Slightly further, there is the gourmet butcher and greengrocer at James St markets. A short car ride down to New Farm takes you to a large Coles supermarket.  Alternatively, a short car drive towards the city leads to the Spring Hill Woolworths with good on-site parking.  More unusual foods can be found at Chinatown - just 1 block away.  There is a convenience store and bread shop in Central Brunswick (just at the back door of the building) for those items like bread and milk that you want quickly

Drinks A wide range of wines, beer and spirits is available at Central Brunswick - literally at the building's back door.  Further way in the Coles New farm and Woolworths Spring Hill complexes, there are large bottle shops with an excellent range.
